Miller, Virginia Ann Thompson Cantrell “Tootsie”
The former Virginia Thompson, a lifelong resident of Oldham County, passed away on Wednesday, May 4,2016 after a long battle with Alzheimers.
Virginia was born on January 4,1936 in Carrsville, Kentucky (Livingston County) the youngest daughter of twelve to Leonard Henry Thompson and Hattie Vaughn Gossett (both deceased).
Survivors include children: Donna W. Dailey, Neil L. Cantrell Jr. (Magdalena), Charles E. Cantrell, Virginia V. Lawson (Ed). Grandsons: Denny, Brad, Matthew, Ryan, Gabe, Daniel and Jacob. Granddaughters: Ashley, Janell and Sarah, along with nine great-grandchildren. Brothers: John Logan Thompson, Sr. (Alice) and David Lowell Thompson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Leonard Henry Thompson Jr., Jerome Stuart Thompson and Donald Thurber Thompson. Sisters: Laura Marilyn Frailey, Marjorie Carroll Thompson, twins Dorothy Beryl and Emily Sherman Thompson, Jane Sherrill Miller and Sandra Jean Brown.
