Virginia Alice Lee Beaman Cowger, 94 of Kuna, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at a Meridian Care Center, of natural causes.

Virginia was born April 16, 1920 in Aurora, Nebraska to Arther L. and Elma M. Beach. She was the third of four children, 1 sister and 2 brothers who preceded her in death.

The family moved from Marquett, NE to Aurora where Virginia was born and educated. The family moved to Idaho in August 1934 and settled in Caldwell, ID where they worked on a fruit ranch near Homedale. They moved to Grandview, ID in 1935. She worked at the Mountain Home Air Force Base and attended beauty school at Excelfis in Boise where she earned her cosmetology and barber license.

She married Sherman C. Beaman and from that union came twin boys, Sherwin (Smokey) and Richard (Blondy) Beaman. She divorced and with the twins, lived with her sister and brother in law, Charlie and Joe Bird, until they moved to Kuna in 1954. While in Kuna, she met Alfred Cowger. They married and moved to Meridian, and in 1958, she and her husband Al bought and operated the Hotel Boise Garage for 5 years. After selling that they bought a garage in Kuna which they named A and V Repair and operated that business for several years.

In 1979 in Kuna, she joined Rob Morris Chapter #63 of the Eastern Star and made several life-long friends. She and Al loved the town of Kuna. Involved with the Kuna Fireetts and supported her husband in all of his endeavors.

She was always involved with her family and was always there for her twins and her step son and step daughter whenever she was needed. She was a wonderful wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she was a great friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred “Al” Cowger, her parents Arther and Elma Beach, her son Richard, her sister Josephine (Charles) Bird, brothers Art (Marjorie) Beach, DeWaine (Evie) Beach, step daughter Nancy Haumann, stepson Gary Cowger, and her granddaughter Alanna Beaman.

She is survived by her son Smokey Beaman and his wife Carol, daughter in law Kay Beaman of Kuna, granddaughters Tonya (Larry) Bowers of Meridian, Alisha (Larry) Kugler and Amber Bach both of Washington. A grandson Allen Haumann of Boise, grand-daughter Jamie Cowger of NV, great-grandsons Kyle Bowers of Meridian and twin boys Ross and Reid Kugler of Washington. Great-granddaughters Madison, Makenzie, and Marlaina Bach, and Lyra and Lian Kugler, all of Washington.
