Virgil Leon Owens, age 78, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019. He was born on March 1, 1941. Virgil was the 11th child of 14. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanford and Artie Owens. He is survived by his wife, Donna Owens of Dalton; son, Clay Owens of Dalton; daughters, Sarah “Marie” Jones/Tony Scott of Dalton, Anita Crofford Gowing of Dalton; brothers and sister in law, Charles and Joyce Owens of Summerville, Richard Owens of Dalton; sister and brother in law, Annie and Tony Tolnai of Michigan; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
