Manchester – Casteel, Virgil Lee, 88, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2009 at the Medical Center of Manchester and went home to be with the Lord after an etended illness. He was a life long farmer and producer for certified soybean seed. He was the son of the late W.E. (Ed) and Tillie A. Casteel. He was preceded in death by two brothers, General L. Casteel and Buford K. Casteel and one grandson, Ryan L. Casteel. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Mildred Newman Casteel and three sons, Kenny (Connie) Casteel, Eddie Casteel and Benny Casteel; five grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Gina, Nathan and Nicole; four great-grandchildren, Cade, Rebecca, Aliyah and Alayna; two sister-in-laws, Ollie Mae (General) Casteel of Hillsboro and and Chieko (Buford) Casteel of Nashville; nephew, Douglas (Dianne) Casteel of Monteagle; and niece, Kathy Casteel of Chicago, Illinois. He was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church.
