Virgil L Stinson, 99, of Anderson, passed away on August 17, 2012 at Countryside Manor Health Care.
He was born on June 20, 1913 in Pendleton, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson. Virgil graduated from Pendleton High School, and served his country in the Navy during WWII. He retired from Delco Remy in 1975. He was a member of American Legion. Enjoyed watching the local sports teams, including the Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Reds, and Indiana University Basketball.
Virgil is survived by his, daughter, Karen Robert Gray of Galloway, OH, grandson, Chad Nikki Gray, great-granddaughter, Mykala Jade Gray, great-grandson, Brayden Austin Gray, sister-in-law, Betty Croxton of Illinois, and brother-in-law, Arthur Kline of Terre Haute.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah L. Stinson, mother, Gladys Stinson step-mother, Opal Stinson, father, Walter Stinson, brother, Ralph Croxton, sister, Vera Gale, and brother, Dale Croxton.
