Virgil D. Frye, 90, of Bloomington passed away on September 1, 2016, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Virgil was born on March 30, 1926, in Bloomington. He was the son of Harvey and Lela (Waldrip) Frye.
He was an Army veteran and served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1954. He worked at RCA for 39 years, retiring in 1986. Virgil loved spending time with his family, fishing, buying and selling cars and boats, and going to the races.
Survivors include his wife, Norma (Rhodes) Frye, his sons, Rick Miller (Linda), Jack Frye (Lynne), his daughter, Donna Vestuto (Andy), all of Bloomington, his daughter-in-law, Cheryl Frye of Fishers, eight grandchildren, Eric, Heather, Matt (Katie), Chris, Brad, Kristi, Tara, Garrin, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Donnie, and his grandson, Andy Frye.
