Virgil Octavia “Doc” Barlow Hendrix, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 at the age of 86, beloved wife of the late David Edward “Tip” Hendrix. She is survived by her children, Theresa (Annie) Hendrix, Donna Boudreaux (Bryan), Dale Bear, David Hendrix (Mary) and Michael Hendrix (Debbie); grandchildren, Michelle Boudreaux, Angela Hendrix, Jessica Bear, and Joseph Hendrix; great grandchildren, Jordan Punch and LeSean Hendrix; a sister Sue Nolan and a brother Harold Barlow. Mrs. Hendrix was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia Bustin Barlow and Newton Wesley Barlow; five sisters, Sarah Barlow Longa. Sattie Barlow Bonnette, Mae Barlow Reynolds, Willie V. Barlow Murray, and Jimmie Barlow Dans and one brother, H. B. Murphy. Virgil was originally from Minden, LA, later resided in New Orleans until 1973 and in 1986 settled in Natalbany, LA for 24 years and from 2010 to 2015 resided in Hammond, LA
