Violette Kandalaft, age 90, Gulf Breeze, died June 6, 2015, at Bayside Manor Skilled Nursing Facility after her long battle with dementia. Violette Kandalaft, the daughter of Yacoub and Marie Srouji, was born on September 17,1924,in Haifa, where she lived until her marriage to Jalil Kandalaft, a respectable gentleman from Jerusalem who had provided and cared for her and their two loving daughters, Randa and Lamia. The couple lived in Egypt and then Kuwait. After Jalil’s death, Violette moved to Lebanon where she lived and raised their two daughters as a single mother.
