Violet May Thompson, of Sullivan, Indiana, formerly of Linton and Michigan, went to Heaven with loved ones by her side, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Sullivan, on Saturday, October 15, 2022. She was born on December 16, 1932 in Linton to Jessie Blume and Elsie (Weddle) Collins. Violet married Wendell Ladson on February 6, 1970 and then after his passing she married Joseph C. Thompson on April 17, 1974.
Violet was a member of the American Legion Post #22 Ladies Auxiliary, Worthington VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Loyal Order of the Moose. She retired in 1984 from Keller Aluminum Chair Factory. Violet always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Wendell Ladson and Joseph C. Thompson.
