SHEPHARD, Mrs. Violet J. Kalamazoo, MI died Saturday morning February 9, 2013. Violet was born June 14, 1923 in Clay County, Arkansas a daughter of Frank and Fern Choate Parks. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was a member of Milwood United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard H. Shephard on March 6, 2012; 2 brothers, Rufus and George Parks; and 2 sisters, Reva Irene Horn and Francis Helena Brazell. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Richard Servis of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews.
