Violet Goddard, 80, of Michigan City, Indiana and formerly of New Buffalo, Michigan died Thursday, July 5, 2007 at her home.
Violet was born June 21, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Jacob and Anna (Carlson) Ohm. She graduated from Hirsch High School in 1945. On October 5, 1946 in Chicago, she married Norbert Goddard, who preceded her in death on July 11, 2001.
Violet loved to have fun; playing games, shopping, dancing, and had a great sense of humor. She was an avid artist who enjoyed painting florals and landscapes and also photography. The greatest love of her life was her family.
Survivors include her children, Ann Baker of Lawton, OK; Mary (Jimmy) Blackmon of Salesville, AR; Kevin (Roxann) Goddard of Michigan City, IN; Chris (Tom) Sullivan of Cincinnati, OH; and Nancy (Bill) Zientarski of Michigan City; grandchildren, Gail, John Paul, Matt, Jim, Lisa, Colleen, Katie, Pat, Angie, Sara, Stephanie, Maegin, Katherine, Ava, and Jacob; great grandchildren, Brittany, Justin, Marissa, Nicholas, Blake, Morgan, and Ava; and her sister Anne Matias of Santa Rosa, CA. Violet was preceded in death by her son in law, Tim Baker.
