Violet G. Rooney Buck, 85, Anderson, lost her courageous battle with cancer on August 16, 2005 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Charles E. Buck who passed away September 4, 2004.
She was born November 28, 1919 in Baltimore, Maryland, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. She has lived in Anderson since 1937. She worked in the cafeteria for Anderson Community School Corporation for 16 years. She belonged to Park Place Church of God. She enjoyed taking trips with her children, especially to Michigan, the Smokies and to England. She enjoyed sewing. Her greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by her three daughters: Sheila & husband Gary Corbin of Michigan. Donna & husband David Spangler of Carmel. Kathy & husband Rick Ballard of Michigan. Son: Bob & wife Darlene Buck of Anderson. Grandchildren: Susan Corbin, Mark & wife Barbara Ballard, Sally Corbin, Matthew & wife Andrea Ballard, Amy & husband Andrew Moeder, Nathan Balland & fiancee Lisa Markham, Carrie Spangler, Robbie Buck and Melanie Buck. Eleven Great Grandchildren, four of whom were born on May 19th. Two nieces and one nephew. Very dear friends: Barbara Ashley, Dessie Givens, Leone Tyler and Glenice Marsh.
