BRADFORD – Viola Rurak, lifelong resident of Bradford, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, February 25, 2013 at the Wingate at Haverhill. Beloved wife of the late of Michael A. Rurak, who passed in 1981.
Mrs. Rurak was born and raised in Haverhill, daughter of the late Anthony and Julia (Verbickas) Buitkas of Lithuania. She was educated in Haverhill schools, and graduate of Haverhill High School.
She was employed in the Haverhill shoe industry, working in various local shoe shops. Once married, Mrs. Rurak began to raise her family.
Her surviving family members include her loving son, Michael P. Rurak and his fiancé Jerrylyn Stefanik of Seabrook Beach, NH; brother, Albert Buitkas of Stoneham; nieces, Mary Beth DeAngelis and her husband Mario, Charlene Ann Flaherty and her husband Steven, and Roberta Martin and her husband Foster; nephew, Stephen Buitkas and his wife Virginia; several grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins; sister of late Annie White.
