Viola Troutt, age 81 of Centralia, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.

Viola was born on January 3, 1934 in Vernon, Illinois, a daughter to Emmer and Daisy (Landreth) Smith. On May 11, 1951, she married Ernest Troutt in Centralia and he preceded her in death on November 9, 1977.

Viola is survived by two daughters, Patty McHenry and husband Jack of Junction City, and Rita Session and husband Greg of Centralia; seven grandchildren, Chandala Clark of Centralia, Tyson McHenry and wife Lora of Sandoval, Timothy McHenry of Sandoval, Michael Tate and wife Lisa of Centralia, Aaron Tate and wife Patti of Iuka, Siccley Session of Centralia, and Craig Session and wife Molly of Mascoutah; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Brock Tate, Chelsea and Seth Tate, Kourtney Lomax and fiancé Jacob Wooters, Krimsean Huffstedler, Sarah Mays, Sydni McHenry, Va’Lon Williams, and Mabry Session; one great-great-grandchild, Kycien Lomax, and soon to be “Mae Mae” Wooters; and many loving and caring nieces and nephews the family of Mrs. Troutt will forever be thankful. Mrs. Troutt was a mother of three but a true mother to many.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Troutt was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Rosemary Tate; three sisters, Pauline, Suzie, and Alberta; and five brothers, Jim, Thomas, Johnnie, Louie, and Marion.

Viola worked as an inspector at Littelfuse for many years and later retired. She was a wonderful cook and she was known for her baking abilities and loved flowers. Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family.
