Mrs. Viola “Abbie” Mae (Borders) Bittner, age 88, of Osgood, Indiana, entered this life on January 15, 1926 in Rushville, IN. She was the loving daughter of the late Marcellous and Elnora Borders. She married William Bittner on October 16, 1976. Viola passed away early Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison.
Viola was passionate about her religion and had been serving the lord throughout her life. Her career involved working at Muscatatuck and Family Home Health in Versailles. Viola had attended Bible College and became an ordained minister. She went on to practice ministry for years and was a practicing pastor in Illinois and Indiana. She truly enjoyed working with children through her ministry and doing evangelistic work.
Viola will be sadly missed by close friends Jamie and Trina Schutte and Barbara Bowling, all of Versailles, along with Seth Schutte and Hayley Fossett. She is survived by step-daughter Shirley A.
