Viola Bell (Everts) Smith 96, of Point Manor Personal Care Home in Point Marion, PA and formerly of Reedsville, WV where she was born March 3, 1915 went to be with Jesus and the rest of her family on Wednesday May 25, 2011. She attended the Gordon and Bethlehem churches for many years. She was a strong, able, and loving mother, grandmother, great, and great-great grandmother who made a difference in the lives of all who knew her. She was an exceptional gardener, cook, and homemaker. Her kindness, caring, and sharing extended to all who were ever in need. She will be remembered for setting an unparalleled example of dignity, respect, and perseverance. Viola is survived by her daughter and care giver Shelba Shook of Greensboro, PA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; one half-brother Kenny Everts; three sisters-in-law Genevieve Edwards, Lou Tricket, and Mary Leasure. She was preceded in death by her husband Orval Smith; son Prentice Smith and his wife Norma Jean; daughter Doris Jean and her husband William Greaser; grandson Gary Smith; parents James and Letha (Davis) Everts; two sisters Bessie Bolyard and Irene Hart; two brothers Albert Everts and Charles Everts; half-brother Joe Everts; two sons-in-law Melvin Shook and James Maraney.
