Vincent Sebastian Mazzotta, Sr., 71, of Newington, beloved husband of Carole (Bennett) Mazzotta for forty eight years, died suddenly on Saturday, April 14th. Born in Melilli, Sicily, he was the son of the late Rosario and Concetta (Salafia) Mazzotta. Vincent lived in Newington since 1965 and was employed by General Electric for over forty years retiring in 2003. He was a loving husband, father, and a wonderful papa who had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. Vincent was a man full of life that loved people and will truly be missed by everyone whose life he touched. Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, Vincent S. Mazzotta, Jr. and his wife, Treena of Haddam; two daughters, Michelle Mazzotta-Stowe and her husband, James of Charlestown, RI and Dawn Marie Mazzotta of Newington; a brother, Sebastian J. Mazzotta and his wife, Cheryl of Middletown; three sisters, Mary Gurciullo and her husband, Mario of Middletown, Josephine Mazzotta and her husband, Sebastian and Adriana Bombaci and her husband, Ubaldo, all of Italy; eight grandchildren, Ashley, James Patrick, Ryan, Tommy, Zak, Kyla, Mason, and Ava and several nieces and nephews.
