Vincent Pankoski, Sr ‘Vic’
Vic was born on July 8, 1923 in Denver, Colorado. He went home to be with our Heavenly Father on August 3, 2015, in Englewood, Colorado. Vic married Agnes Silba on January 16, 1943 and left three months later to serve in WWII. In WWII, Vic served in the Army Air Corp Tactical Air Command. He served his entire military career in Italy in WWII on a mine detection crew. He was also an accomplished boxer in the European theatre during the war. Vic was given a letter of Commendation of courage on March 5, 1945, along with 5 other medals. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Stanley. He is survived by his wife Agnes, sister Stella (Andrews), his children, Vicki Bondurant-Urban, Vincent Pankoski Jr., Steve Pankoski,along with nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren. Vic loved his family and was a devoted husband and father. Fishing and hunting we among his favorite past-times. He was well known in the Englewood area as a plastering and general contractor. Several of his homes were built in the Englewood area.
