Vincent “Jimmy” Guccione, 97, of Milford, Connecticut, beloved husband of the late Angelina Guccione passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on December 30, 2014. Born on January 8, 1917 in Mount Vernon, New York, he was the son of the late Antonio and Giovaninna Guccione.
Vincent graduated from Edison Vocational and Technical High School in Mount Vernon, New York in June of 1937, where he played basketball and served as Class President.
For the past 12 years, Vincent enjoyed the friendship he shared with the other residents and employees of Carriage Green in Milford, Connecticut. He enjoyed playing his harmonica, making sausage, listening to music, and dancing. He also enjoyed playing a game of pool, and sharing a glass of wine with friends. His blue eyes and warm smile will be remembered.
Vincent is survived by his children; James Guccione and his wife Gail of Yonkers, New York, Joan Guccione of Shelton, Connecticut, and Jeanette Bogdan and her husband Frank of Milford, Connecticut. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Amy Shih and her husband Stanley and James Guccione and his wife Ana and his great-grandchildren; Truman and Angelina Shih, and Story Guccione. He is predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.
