Vincent D. Longo, age 78, a resident of Crestview, FL, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2007 in Destin, FL.
Vincent was born on December 29, 1928 in North Bergen, NJ, to the late Biagio “Blasé” Longo and the late Eunice Tassanari Longo. He was a 1946 graduate of Phillips Schuylar High School in Albany, NY. Vincent moved to the Gulf coast in 1952. He became a Destin resident in 1963 as Inn Keeper of the original Holiday Inn, later managed the Silver Dunes – Destin’s first condominium.
Vincent is survived by his sons, Vinnie Spitzer and his wife Claudia of Lake Geroge, NY, Richard Meadows and his wife Rachel of Gulfport, MS, V. Kent Longo and his wife Tina of Destin, FL, Tyrone Longo and his wife Rena of Andalusia, AL, and Lou Longo of Destin, FL; and daughters, Kim Stephen and her husband David of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Belinda Robbins of Crestview, FL. Vincent is also survived by his former wife and best friend, Avon Longo of Destin, FL; dear cousins, Flora Menges of Albany, NY, and Alba Diaz of Long Beach, CA; and fifteen grandchildren, 3 great-grand children, other family members, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Louis V. Longo.
