Vincent Campora, 88, of Monroe Township, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at his home.

Born in Amantea, Cosenza on the southern Mediterranean coast in Italy, he was a man with an innate sense of duty from an early age. He worked multiple jobs, and moved around in multiple countries, such as his native Italy, Germany, and Venezuela, before settling in the United States in 1969. His main job was as a painter, but he also worked as an officer at Series A games, a janitor, a soldier in the military, and many more, all to support his family. He brought his wife and children to America, earned his citizenship, and eventually retired to live a quiet and self-sufficient life in Monroe Township. His unique charm left a mark on everyone he met, and he was universally revered. He will be sorely missed.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years, Esterina, in March 2020, he is survived by his children, John Campora, Lucia O’Scannell, Luigi Campora and his wife Rossella, Antonella Passalacqua and her husband Joseph and Carmela Valeriano and her husband Antonio, all of Monroe Township; his siblings Giuseppe Campora and Filomena Cerquetti, both of Italy, and; his grandchildren, Lucia, Shannon, Rossella, Thomas, Giulia, Maria, Ambra, Alessia and Vincenzo.
