     Chief Master Sergeant Vincent A. Koppenhaver, USAF Retired, age 88, of Valley, Al., died from Complications of cancer on April 6, 2014, at West Georgia Hospice, LaGrange, Georgia.

     Born March 13, 1926, in Gratz, PA., the son of the late Ezra and Carrie Koppenhaver.  The Chief Koppenhaver was a World War 2 veteran and served in the US Air Force for 30 years, retiring to Valley, Al. in 1974.  He married the love of his life, C. Marie Koppenhaver in 1947 and after a loving marraige of 47 years, she passed in 1994.

     Chief Koppenhaver spent his retired life serving and participating in many community service organizations.

     Chief Koppenhaver is survived by his daughter Vickie Timmons and her husband Steve of West Point, Ga., one sister Shirley Hatter of Gratz, Pa., long time firend Sally Still of Huguley, Al., 2 grandsons Adam of Las Vegas, Nev., and TSGT Christopher USAF and his wife Courtney of Abilene, Tx., 2 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
