Mrs. Nathan died Monday, December 16, 2013 at Countryside Home.
Vilma was born May 31, 1918 at Battle Creek the daughter of Paul and Mary (Neuwark) Hofmann. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peterâs Heights Lutheran Church. Vilma married Elmer O. Nathan on February 12, 1939 at Battle Creek and the couple farmed west of Madison. Vilma was a member of St. John Lutheran â Green Garden church and their Ladies Aid.
Vilma is survived by her children and their spouses, Donna and Al Houser of Pueblo, CO, Robert and Nancy Nathan of Madison, Richard and Mary Nathan of Blair, and Fred and Pam Nathan of Madison, ten grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer in January 2006, and one brother Rupert Hofmann.
