Our beloved first, Vilma del Carmen Portillo Ortiz passed away on October 8, 2021 in Salt Lake City from COVID. Vilma was born on July 19, 1946 in San Vicente, El Salvador, the daughter of Domingo and María Lidia Ortiz Portillo.
Vilma attended school in El Salvador and as a consequence of polio and other health challenges, she lived with her mother in El Salvador until 2013 when her mother died. Then he came to the United States from El Salvador to live with his cousin, Antonio Ortiz in Ogden, Utah Vilma loves to cook breakfasts and special meals for her family.
