Mrs. Victoria Jo “Vicki” Fireline, 69, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully following an extended illness at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart on Monday, September 21, 2020 at 9:30 pm. She was born in South Bend on July 7, 1951 and was the daughter of the late Joseph Ervin Majewski and Rita T. (Jankowski) Majewski, who survives in Edwardsburg, MI. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband James T. “Tom” Fireline, who passed in 2006, and her sister, Marlene Gosser, who just passed recently.

Besides her mother, Vicki is survived by her daughter Stephanie S. (Teddie Knauss) Fireline of Elkhart; her son Jamie (Debra “Debbie”) Fireline of Bristow, VA; sister Susan Geyer of Naples, FL; grandchildren Amanda (Brian) Longacre of Jackson, MI, Katie (Trevor) Dahlke of Elkhart, Cameryn Fireline of Bristow, Emily Fritschi of Elkhart and Kaela Fireline of Bristow; great grandchildren Nikoli Alberto Macharro of Elkhart, Justus Hiroshi Hatchett of Bristow; Walter Lee Dahlke of Elkhart and Riley Jean Longacre of Jackson, and a host of loving extended family, friends, work associates and church family who will miss her dearly.

Vicki worked many years as the deferral program coordinator for the Elkhart County Prosecutor’s office and made many lasting friendships there. She was also a devoted Christian lady who was very involved in her church, and her love for music and singing naturally led her to be the church’s music director, as well as serving the church’s worship leader.

Fun-loving, joyful and happy, Vicki always had a beautiful smile on her face and a love in her heart that she was willing to share with anyone who needed a bit of a lift. Her outgoing personality won her many friends, and she dearly cherished them all. On a more personal note, Vicki had a HUGE sweet tooth, and simply loved to snack. She also had a deep love for her dog, a Cairn Terrier named Sissy, who had just recently passed as well. She loved to laugh and would often tell her children, “You all aren’t stupid, so stop acting like it. I didn’t give birth to no stupid kids.”
