Victoria Thelma Schneider, age 86, of Orange, CT, beloved wife of Carl G. Schneider for 61 years, passed away at home April 16, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 23, 1924 in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Celina and Victor Carlberg.
She is survived by her husband Carl, daughter Joanna and husband Larry Hagan of Scottsdale AZ, daughter Catherine and husband John Baber of Rio Rancho, NM, and son Stephen and wife Ellen Schneider of Oxford, CT, daughter-in-law Nancy Schneider of Oxford, CT, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Jeanette Kaulfers of Midlothian, VA. She was predeceased by her son Fredric of Oxford, CT in 2010.
Victoria attended High Point College (University) in N.C. and Douglas College (Rutgers) in N.J. She was a substitute in the Amity School System in the 1970’s, the Admission Director for the New Haven Academy of Business, and Manager for Tall-Haven (clothing store) of Orange, CT.
