Victor Ralph Barnwell, age 103 of Oaklyn, NJ passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Virtua-Lourdes Hospital, Camden.

Mr. Barnwell was the husband of Katherine (nee Holroyd) and is the father of Maryann & her husband John Shivers and Walter & his wife Mary Swetkoff. He is the proud grandfather of three; Erin & her husband Tad Hatter, Maribeth & her husband Jeff Kramer, Erik, and great grandfather of 4: Jovian, Kainen, Natalie, and Eveanna. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by his niece, Susie (nee Barnwell) Lingo & her late husband Elmer as well as six grandnieces and nephews.

Victor “Ralph” Barnwell was born on Armistice Day and was named to commemorate the end of World War I and the allied victory over Germany. Ralph was a graduate of Haddonfield High School, retired as a salesman with Philip Morris Company, was a former owner of Barnwell Bros.

Men’s Shop in Woodbury, a machinist at the New York Shipyard, a co-owner of Delaware Valley Lighting Co., an Oaklyn Little League Baseball coach, and an 80-year brother Mason with the U.S.S. N.J. Lodge # 62 F&AM in Merchantville. Mr. Barnwell had been an avid golfer for 25 years and hit a hole in one on July 9, 1990 at Chester Valley Golf Course in Malvern, PA.
