Victor E. Davis, 67, of Virginia, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born March 5, 1949, in Atterberry, IL, the son of Ralph E. and Agnes J. Collins Davis.
He is survived by his companion of 14 years, Frankie Wyzard and son Cole, of Virginia; one daughter, Melissa (Keith) Davis-Frederick of Bluffs and her mother Linda Sinnock; one son, Victor Lee Davis of Virginia; step-son, Jeremy Marquard of Virginia; and step-daughter, Amanda Christison of Winchester and their deceased mother Tina Christison; four grandchildren, James Frederick, Jr., Sylvia Frederick, Gannon Davis, and Karley Kramer; four sisters, Sally (deceased husband, Hank) Martin of Jacksonville, Carol (Ronald) Troxell of Virginia, Rose (Richard) Ford of Havana, Doris (Stanley) Fanning of Jacksonville; one brother, Rodney (Tara) Davis of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters and one brother, Margaret Ann Davis, Harold Wayne Davis, and Betty Sue Jackson.
Mr. Davis worked at Sunrise FS from the age of 16 until his death. He was drafted into the US Marines when he was 20. He enjoyed horses, especially while spending time with Johnny Cox, the Lazy C Rodeo, and stock car racing.
