Vicky “Vic” E. Dunahee Vicky “Vic” Eugene Dunahee, 69 of Centralia, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at Centralia Manor Nursing Home. He was born June 28, 1948, in Pontiac, the son of Victor and Juanita (Durham) Dunahee.
He married Carol (Lee) Dunahee on March 25, 1972, in Bloomington and they later divorced. He is survived by three sons: Steven Dunahee and wife Bryanna of Hoyleton, Vic Dunahee of St. Louis, Missouri, and Darren Dunahee and wife Kayla of Centralia; eight grandchildren: Cara, Robbie, Douglas, Lexi, Lyleanna, Julian, Kaleigh, and Kairyn; four great-grandchildren: Lani, William, Anberlynn, and Isaac; two brothers: Tim Dunahee and wife Debbie of Cornell and Kevin Dunahee and wife Beth of Bell Buckle, TN; a sister: Cheryl Griffith and husband Joe of Chenoa; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son: Michael Dunahee. Vic worked in auto manufacturing for many years, including 17 years with Cambridge, formerly Meridian and Rockwell. He later retired. During retirement, Vic worked part-time at the Industrial Tavern as a bartender. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed playing pool, painting, and traveling. He was an avid collector of knives and straight razors. He enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs.
