Vickie L. Thorsen, nee Bohnenstiehl, 59, from O’Fallon, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 in O’Fallon, IL. Vickie was born on August 17, 1958, in Belleville, IL.
She was the store manager of A/C Computers, a member of the Kiwanis Club in O’Fallon, mentored college students from SWIC, and helped set up the original computer lab at Estelle Kampmeyer School where she taught young children how to use computers. She was also instrumental in the H.A.N.D.S. program in obtaining computers for the handicapped and training them on how to use them, but above all else, she loved being a grandma and seeing her grandchildren grow up.
She was preceded in death by her father Paul Bohnenstiehl.
Vickie is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Thorsen of O’Fallon, IL; her mother Beaulah Bohnenstiehl of Fairview Heights, IL; daughters, April (Ryan) Jarvis of Riverview, FL, and Jennifer (Kristopher) Fudge of Mascoutah, IL; son, Jonathan Donze of St. Louis MO; brothers, Thomas (Joann) Bohnenstiehl of Highland, IL, Robert (Elizabeth) Bohnenstiehl of Booneville, MO, Robert (Sherry) Tobin of Fairview Heights, IL; sisters, Paula Fields of Fairview Heights, IL, Frances (Dennis) Croissant of Fairview Heights, IL, Sharon Crook of Belleville, IL, and Pam (Edward) Wilson of Belleville, IL; grandchildren, Luke Hardy, Tressel Jarvis, Isabella Donze, Scarlet Jarvis, Kevin Fudge, and many nieces and nephews.
