Vicki Jean Cawthon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on August 5, 2023, at the age of 63. Vicki was born to Billie Jean (Hulsey) Hess and William Earl Brewer in Alexandria, Louisiana, on March 30, 1960.
Vicki enjoyed being the matriarch of her family and was her family’s caretaker, protector, and often, their fixer. Vicki was an incredibly hard worker, and when something was broken, she was usually the one to repair it herself. She was a sweet and devoted wife, and a wonderful mother to her children. When her daughters were little, Vicki made sure to always make time to play, encouraging fun, excitement, and adventure in their lives.
She was a faithful member of the Crossroads Church in Oklahoma City, and with her good example, Vicki brought many family members closer to God. She shared so many wonderful stories from her church and enjoyed talking about her experiences at Crossroads.
Despite her best efforts, she struggled to keep any flower alive, but was able to grow vegetables well, and had recently started a vegetable garden at home that she enjoyed tending to.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Larry Cawthon; four daughters, Tara Cawthon, Ricci Kawaykla and her husband Jeffrey, Mariah Hunter, and Katie Cawthon; four sisters, Ruth, Beverly, Robyn, and Jenni, and one brother, Kenny. Vicki is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, her mother, Billie Hess, her father, Earl Brewer, and many more caring family and friends. She is preceded in death by two of her grandchildren, Zavier, and Qunique.
