Viciell Agnes Taylor

Viciell was born June 23, 1916 in Bozeman, Montana to Grover and Agnes Wray.  The family moved around in her early years but later settled in Weiser, Idaho.  She attended grade school at Sunnyslope where she met the love of her life Raymond Taylor.  Raymond and Viciell were married on July 3, 1938 in Portland, Oregon and then settled on the Taylor family homestead on Sunnyslope.  They were blessed with two children JoAnn and  Richard “Dick”.

Viciell was active in the Sunnyslope Ladies Aide, election board but more importantly she was involved in her children’s lives as a Girl Scout leader, home room mother, chaperone at the Marsing High School dances and never missed a ballgame.  In addition to her mother role she worked side-by-side with Raymond on the family farm to make it profitable and a good life for her family.

Viciell had many passions, one was her love for gardening.

During the winter months she spent endless hours piecing quilt tops and later hand-quilting them.  She also enjoyed creating beautiful ceramic pieces, but her greatest passion was her family which included three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  Summers were spent catching night crawlers, fishing, pulling weeds, and taking grandkids to baseball practices and games throughout the Treasure Valley. Throughout her extended illness the grandkids could always bring a smile to her face and put a twinkle in her eyes.

Viciell also loved to try new recipes and was an amazing cook which her family enjoyed.  If there was an antique sale or auction in the county you could count on Viciell being front and center.  She loved the thrill of the hunt and discovering and purchasing treasures along the way.

Viciell is preceded in death by her parents Grover and Agnes Wray, a brother Grover Lawrence Wray, and two sisters Marie Wray and Joyce (Charles) Winslow, her husband Raymond and son Dick Taylor.  She is survived by her daughter JoAnn (Joe) Bagby, granddaughter Teresa (Jason) Collins, grandsons Todd (Jodi) Allen, and Toby (Shelle) Allen, and seven great-grandchildren:  Richard, Taylor, Stetson, Sage, Stockton, Danielle and Caleb. A niece Linda (Andy) Roundtree and nephew Richard Winslow.
