Veta Coleen McNair passed away on March 12, 2012, in Sun City, Arizona. She was a beloved mother of two, grandmother of five, and great-grandmother of one. Veta was preceded in death by Hugh McNair, her husband of nearly 49 years. Veta was born on August 27th, 1938, to Gertrude Fraize and Ivan Fox, and was raised for most of her early life in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. She graduated from The Dalles High School and then moved to Portland, Oregon to attend Good Samaritan Nursing School. It was there that she met Hugh and they married on February 11th, 1958. Because at that time students were not allowed to be married, she soon left the nursing school though she later worked for some time at Bend Memorial Clinic. Veta and Hugh settled in Bend, Oregon where they owned and operated several businesses.
