Veronica Josetta Williams, age 86, of St. Johns died at Hazel Findley Country Manor on March 28, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.Veronica, or Ronnie as she was commonly known, was born on December 22, 1937 to Lloyd and Eva (DuMond) Newman in Westphalia, MI. While working at the Wheel Inn as a waitress she met the love of her life William F. Williams. They were married in 1956 and together raised four amazing children.Some of Veronicas favorite hobbies included crafting, sewing, knitting, quilting and crocheting. She drove bus in St. Johns for many years before she served as a housekeeper at Hazel Findley Country Manor for 12 years. Ronnie was always willing to hand down her love of sewing and crocheting as she taught her daughters and grandchildren the craft. Veronica was very involved in her grandchildrens lives and she will always be remembered for the love that she showed to her family.She is survived by her children; William (Joy) Williams, Mary Ann (James) Bond, David (Deb) Williams and Debora (Randy) Sillman; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years and her parents.
