Vernon L. Turner, 68 of Centralia, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017, at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. He was born December 5, 1948, in Nashville, the son of Ray Martin and Ann Turner.
He is survived by a special friend, Debra Jolliff of Centralia; a son: Kevin Turner of Anaconda, Montana; a daughter, Lacey Aielli of Merdian, Idaho; three grandchildren: Vernon Turner, Jr., Kevin A. Turner, and Levi A. Turner; a sister: Norma Cantwell of Fairview Heights, IL; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two sons: Vernon Turner, Jr. and Tracy Turner; a sister: Ruth Ann Williams, and a brother: Walter Turner. Vernon enjoyed carpentry work and he was a perfectionist with all of his work.
