Newark – Vernon George Smith, 69 entered eternity on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Rochester General Hospital.
Family and friends may call Tuesday (March 12) from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Norman L.
Vernon was born the son of the late Lloyd and Doris (Holmes) Smith on October 15, 1943 in Victory, NY. Before becoming ill and unable to work, he drove truck for Kaplin Containers. Vernon enjoyed watching wrestling, playing cards and working on puzzles.
Vernon will be remembered by his loving wife Dolores (Bombard) Smith; son Keith Smith of TX; daughter Charlaina “Tami” (Scott Sr.) Leach of Newark; grandchildren Jade and Scott Jr.; step grandchildren Tabitha and Krystal Leach; step great grandchildren Mya Leach, Abbigail and Laurie Abbott; brother Joe Smith of Wolcott; sister Leona (Fred) LaBarr of Wolcott; many nieces and nephews.
Vernon was predeceased by his brother Leon Smith.
