Vernon Edward Miller, was born in Columbus, Ohio on May 18, 1969 to Lillian Miller and Vernon Owen Miller Sr. Vernon took his rest to be with the Lord on April 11, 2021 with family by his side.
Vernon attended Columbus City Schools. Throughout his working career Vernon worked in many kitchens. He was also an Over-the Road Truck Driver with Swift Trucking, Jus Q’n Barbeque Restaurant, he was also a current employee at Double Tree Hotel and Aramark for many years until he was forced to stop due to his illness.
Vernon was united in holy matrimony to Kartrice Miller (Bradley) on September 8, 2012 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Ed, as we all called him was a man who was funny, fun-loving, caring, giving and willing to help. He loved having a good laugh. Ed’s love and smile was contagious and would light up a room. He would give the biggest and best hugs ever. Ed was our “Gentle Giant”.
Ed accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was baptized by his grandmother Lola Combs. He later became a founding member of Royal Kingdom Ministries.
Ed is proceeded in death by his mother Lillian Fitzgerald, Father Vernon Owen Miller Sr., brother Vernon O. Miller Jr (Bugs) and sister Betty Burgess.
Vernon leaves to cherish his memory his wife Kartrice Miller, his children: Edward Miller, Tatyana Woods, Tyreek Miller, Malik Miller, Tayvion Miller, 3 granddaughters: Zyla Jordan, La’Ana Jordan Ky’Ana Jordan, 1 brother: Derek Chafin,7 sisters: Barbara Person, Mary Brown, Arlene Miller, Donna Miller, Sylvia Harrington, Angel Crump and Doris Miller and his only living uncle Terry Chafin, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, cousins and friends.
