Vernon Cheesman of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 17,2015 surrounded by his loving family. Vernon was born June 21, 1930 to Leonard and Essie (Canada) Cheesman. Vernon was 84 years 9 months and 27 days old.

In 1951, Vernon enlisted into the US Army and served as Corporal Military Police from 1951-1953, he then returned to Oregon where he met and married the love of his life, Judy Demorest. Together they raised a family of 5 daughters and made their home in Waldron.
Vernon worked a variety of jobs but he preferred to work in timber, which he done for the majority of his life. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed the many outdoor camping trips with his family. He was also a member of Evening Shade Southern Baptist Church.

Vernon is survived by his loving wife Judy Cheesman of Waldron, Arkansas, three
daughters, Karen Holbrook of Waldron, Arkansas, Patricia Corbin and husband Robert of
Bonifay, Florida, and Angela Brothers and husband Kevin of Carmen, Oklahoma. Two
daughters at heart, Kimberly Crumpton of Phoenix, Arizona and Vickie Shores of Hot
Springs, Arkansas and two sisters, Evelyn Hitchcock and Leota Owens, both of Waldron, Arkansas. Papa will also be remembered by eleven grandchildren, and Pa Chee by eighteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Essie Cheesman, one brother, Virgil Cheesman, one sister, Lucille Blankenship, two daughters, Pamela Barham and Kathy Brown.
