Vernon C. Lucke, Sr., a resident of 8424 Hall Road in Glen Burnie for 30 years, passed away on September 14, 2012 at York Hospital. He was born in Baltimore, MD on November 18, 1928. He served in the Navy Sea Bees and was employed with Preston Trucking for over 25 years. He was a member of the Laurel Club and enjoyed camping, shopping, socializing and watching Western movies. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth, and three siblings, William, Gene and Tom. He is survived by his two children, Vernon C. Lucke, Jr. and Mary A. Smith; four granddaughters, Michelle and Melissa Scrivnor, Teresa Cummings and Trish Bailey; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, Arianna; and one brother, Marvin Smith.
