Bud Hadley, 87, of Ottawa died Wednesday night, June 1, at Pleasant View Nursing Home.

Bud was born on March 21, 1924 in Ottawa, to Vernon and Lucy (Lohr) Hadley Sr. Bud married Helen Brown in 1947, she died on Jan. 8, 1978. He married Ardeth Claude in 1980. Bud was an Army veteran of WWII. He was employed by Libbey Owens Ford, retiring in March of 1986 after 44 years. He was a member of St. Josephs Church in Wedron. He volunteered at CHO for 8 years on the Care A Van. Bud enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with his mascots. Bud was always gardening or doing yard work. He always seemed to be there when in need. He will truly be missed by those of us who loved him.

Bud is survived by one daughter, Kathey (Lee) Reed, of Buffalo, IL, 3 grandchildren, Lara and (Anthony) Vespa, Anne Marie(James) Koehl and Christopher (Amy) Reed, 3 great granddaughters, 4 great grandsons, one brother, Vincent (Arlea) Hadley, of New Mexico, 2 sisters, Jo Ann (George) Mason, of Ottawa and Joyce (Richard) Bohannon, of Marseilles and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Elizabeth Walsh and Margaret Eastman and twin brothers in infancy.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Harkins, Matthew Heth, James Koehl, Christopher Reed, Lee Reed and Anthony Vespa.
