On August 22, 2022, Verna Dale Yannacci passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a long battle with breast cancer. A devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Survived by her children: Laurena Wanger (David Wanger), Karen Garcia (Michael Garcia), Lawrence Yannacci, Jr. (Jill Cline), Matthew Yannacci, Mark Yannacci; her grandchildren: Jennifer, Michael, Jackie, Melissa, Carrie, Jeanette, Amanda, Brandon, Zowie, and Jace; great-grandchildren: Morgan, Savannah, Mason, Maddix, Ariella, and Miles; and Siblings: Bud Peterson, Mary Styles, Earlene McCourry and Bettie Stanko.
The reflection of her beauty and kind heart is easily seen through her children and grandchildren. The many lives she has inspired speaks volumes to the depth of her soul and the quality of her relationship with God. She inspired everyone around her to be a better person and to entrust in God. Verna was born a true caregiver and always put everyone else before herself. She selflessly cared for several family members in their final days, including her mother, husband, and siblings. She continued to care for her blind sister, Mary, even after her re-diagnosis of cancer.
