Verna E. Giger, age 91, of St. Jacob, IL., born February 9, 1919, in Highland, IL., died on August 15, 2010, at Faith Countryside, Highland, IL. She was the widow of Harold W. Giger. Mrs. Giger was a homemaker and a member of St. Jacob United Church of Christ where she was also a member of the Women’s Guild, the choir, and served as a Sunday School Teacher.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Fremont and Ella (nee Phillips) Clayton.
Mrs. Giger is survived by her son, Don (Carol) Giger of St. Jacob, IL.; daughter, Sharon (Rick) Hanford of St. Jacob, IL.; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
