Mrs. Verhelia L. Clark, 79, of Forest, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Mrs. Clark was a native and lifelong resident of Scott County. She was the daughter of the late Dewey Lay and the late Beadie McGee Lay. She was married to the late Jerry M. Clark. Mrs. Clark was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry M. Clark, parents, Dewey Lay and Beadie McGee Lay, sisters, Katie Culpepper and Ozella Madden, brothers, Raymond Lay and Walter Daniel Lay and a grandchild, Shonda Elaine Smith.
Mrs. Clark is survived by two children, Debbie Smith (Lane), Danny Clark (Ellen), both of Forest. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Angie Crocker, Brad Smith, Jerried Smith, Brock Smith, Chris Smith, Adam Smith and Andrew Smith, and 12 great grandchildren.
