Verda (Cricket) Aul, age 77, of Salem, died at 12:45 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Essex of Salem I. She was born January 28, 1937 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Alpha and Esther (Coakley) Peters. She worked as a machine operator at Valentine’s Sheet Metal and previously at Ballonoff Metals for 30 years as a press operator. Survivors include one son, James Coalman; and four grandchildren. Preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Lynn Williams.
