She was born on June 4, 1928, daughter of the late Winifred Day Mellor and Ralph Mellor, in Norwich Ct.
Graduated from NFA, Boston College (BA) and Columbia University (MA).
Vera was a Nurse and served in the US Army stationed in Germany from 1953-1955. She was a Professor at Catholic University in Washington, D.C.
She was predeceased by a sister Mary Mellor Rathbone and husband Donald.
Survived by a sister Winifred Mellor Berberick and her husband Frederick of West Hartford, CT. She is also survived by nieces and a nephew.
