Vera Mae Meier, 80, of Brighton, passed away December 18, 2014. She was born January 24, 1934 in Victoria, KS to Alfred J. Billinger and Elnora Cecilia Bieker. Vera married Wilbert Meier on July 1, 1961 in Denver. Together they raised two children, Paula and Bryon.
Vera worked at Samsonite Luggage for 10 years and later at American Greetings for an additional 5 years. She was very talented and well known for baking and decorating wedding cakes.
Vera is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Wilbert. Daughter, Paula Snyder of Rio Rancho, NM; Son, Bryon Meier of Brighton; Brothers Jim and Darral Billinger of Arvada and Loren Billinger of Denver; Sisters, Mary Lou Drilling and Shirley Gross of Denver; 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Elnora Billinger.
