Hartford City: Vera M. Anderson, 87, went home to be with the Lord Thursday at 8:12 a.m., April 26, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Hartford City. She was born in Blackford County, the daughter of the late Luke and Pearl (Moore) Garrett. She graduated from Roll High School in 1943.
Mrs. Anderson formerly worked at Taylor University for 10 years in housekeeping. She attended Upland Community Church, Upland. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Sam; a son, David (Debra) Anderson, Hartford City; a daughter, Lori “Diann” (Steve) Willman, Hartford City; sisters Maxine and Helen; four grandchildren, Brent and Brooke Anderson, John and Jeremy Schuiteman; and a great grandson, Cameron Schuiteman.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by siblings, Robert, Harold, Evelyn Garrett, and Mary Du Bois. Special thanks extended to Miller’s Merry Manor, Hartford City and Family Life Hospice, Berne, for their loving care.
