Vera C. Frederick died peacefully on Monday, February 29, 2016 at the age of 99. She was born on August 27, 1916 in Opelousas, Louisiana.
On July 27, 1937 Vera married Milbon (Fred) Frederick who is now deceased.
She is survived by her daughter; Charlotte Schlink and her husband; Jerry Schlink, grandsons; Steven Schlink and wife; Meri Schlink and Michael Schlink and wife; Sharene Schlink; Great grandsons Jackson Schlink and Alex Schlink.
Both Vera and Fred were natives of Louisiana and moved to California in 1945 to establish a new life. Vera worked as a legal secretary before she found her vocation in finance at Bank of America. For over thirty years she was employed by Bank of America and ultimately became head escrow officer for the Glendora branch. She was instrumental in assisting in many of the real estate development transactions as the area blossomed.
As an avid gardener she took special pride in the numerous orchids she nurtured.
Creative, artistic, extremely smart and a fabulous cook, her hospitality will be missed by all her family and friends.
