Vera (Harrison) Berkshire, 86, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2019 in her hometown of Logansport.
A 1950 graduate of Logansport High School, she married Donald E. Berkshire in the summer of 1950 after being crowned King and Queen of the LHS prom that spring.
Vera joined the former St.
Once her children were in school, Vera worked as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant for several small businesses. Her best memories were of her time working in the Cass County Clerk’s office.
In 1994, Don and Vera moved to Mesa, Arizona where they became active members of St.
Vera is survived by her three children: Jeff Berkshire and his wife Susan of Canton, GA, Melissa Berkshire of Chicago, and Liz Guinan and her husband Tom of Chapel Hill, North Carolina (formerly Scottsdale, AZ). Also surviving are Vera’s two granddaughters, whom she loved dearly, Mea Cole Tefka of New York, New York, and Rebecca Berkshire of Canton, GA.
