Venice Kennedy Nielsen
Our darling mother & grandmother, Venice Kennedy Nielsen, passed peacefully in the compassionate care of Mountain Ridge on May 21, 2016, in Ogden, Utah, at the age of 83. On November 5, 1932, sweet little Venice began life in Marriott, Utah, to proud parents Enoch & Lavina Ora Butler Kennedy.
Venice was married to Lowell P. Smith for 24 happy years. She also was married to Clark Nielsen.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Venice is survived by her loving daughter & son, Teresa Smith (William R.) Buchanan & Warren Lowell (Terry) Smith; step children, Bill (Penny) Nielsen, Sharon (Kent) Webb; 21 adoring grandchildren & many heart-warming great grandchildren.
Venice is preceded by her two dear sisters, Darlene Hansen & June Radle, mother & father, Lavina & Enoch Kennedy, & her beloved step-father Bill Coop. Venice joins her dear, charming husband & soul-mate Clark Lee Nielsen, preceding her in 1996; and stepson, Bob Nielsen. Her frisky lil’ poodle Cleo welcomes her to Heaven with many soft kisses.
